So far in 2011 Air Charter Service’s
Asia Pacific HQ has seen an increase in the number of Asia-based,
high-net-worth individuals and executives choosing to charter private
aircraft, as well as noting changes in the way customers use luxury jets
to meet their travel requirements.
ACS has reported a 30% rise in business for its Asian Executive Jets department and attributes this to recent shifts in global economic power. Asian executives are now chartering private aircraft to move around the regions they are visiting, such as Europe, America, the Middle East and Africa, whilst using scheduled services for the long haul sectors. This trend is often overlooked, as the demand for Asian aircraft is usually used as the only indicator to the strength of the continent’s private aviation market.
As well as an increase in Asians chartering aircraft outside the continent, there has been growth and change in private aviation activity within the region. It appears that the proportion of Asians chartering compared to Westerners has increased, thus expanding the overall size of the market. Charters between destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong are becoming increasingly popular.
Gavin Copus, ACS’s Asia Pacific CEO, commented: “The increase in private charter activity in Asia can be attributed to the strength of the economy. With Asian businesses wielding more power on a global scale, they find themselves frequently sending delegates across the continent and worldwide.”
Copus also noted differences between Asian and Western business culture: “We find that in Asia executive clients travel in larger groups than their peers in the West. It is not uncommon for groups of 6 – 10 business delegates to fly together compared with charters for as little as 1 or 2 people in other regions. This is due mainly to a combination of Asian business culture and the need to charter larger jets with a longer range that consequently have room for more passengers.”
He concluded: “We are very optimistic about the future of the private aviation market in Asia and predict its current healthy growth to continue.”

Aircraft Management Group, Inc. provides excellence in aircraft
management, as well as in private aircraft charter through our AMG
Jets division. AMG Jets is pleased to announce a new addition to their website.
The website now features a popular events section. This allows
prospective clients to click on a certain event they want to go to
(example: Daytona Bike Week or the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade) and
discover when and where the event takes place and local airport
information. They can also see what the cost of flying would be using
the quoting feature on the website.
“This new feature allows us to help our clients plan more of their event, not just their aircraft needs,” says Shannon Pennypacker, Director of Marketing and Sales. “It gives our clients some great ideas about which events they may want to attend.”
AMG Jets can take you to your desired events in the Pilatus PC-12. The aircraft has the ability to fly into areas with runways as short at 3,000 feet, and can stay in the air for a maximum of 5-6 hours, this enables clients to travel long distances with ease but also with reduced operating costs. The aircraft also seats six to eight passengers, so you can bring all your loved ones. Flying on the Pilatus is a great luxury that won’t break the bank.
